It was a long weekend, I'm quiet happy to be back in the office sitting down.

On Thanksgiving we picked up the UHaul truck and with Ben's help got all of the furniture we think we want to keep over to the apartment. Took us one trip, about 2.5 hours, which was nice. Then Paul and I unpacked and organized, until we went over to [livejournal.com profile] exairian's for TDay dinner. Trevor's parents were over also, and it was a really nice dinner and time.

Black Friday was crazy. I didn't have to start until 9am, which was nice to get to skip the crazies. But it was a 12 hour day and pretty disorganized. I also didn't have to help restock, another plus.

Saturday was actually worse, because I was so tired from Friday, and still had a 9 hour shift. The food Best Buy had catered in was great though. After work we went over to Blythe and Trevor's again, this time for drinking with Wendy and Drew, who are up for a bit. Nice to see them, but I over did it on the gin.

Sunday was rough, as I'm pretty sure I was still drunk when I got into work. And that moved over to a hangover. Also they had me at the front of the store for a while being a greater. Not the best of situations. I spent most of the day as a dedicated cashier in our department, which isn't bad, really.

This week looks a bit busier at Omnipress, and I'm hoping that I can get over to the house and clean, as it is not in any shape to be shown to buyers.

Next weekend is the Omnipress holiday party, which sounds great. I'm hoping Best Buy doesn't change their mind about letting me out early enough to go to it.

I am hurting from last night. [livejournal.com profile] exairian threw a Halloween party. It was fun. Paul and I dressed up as Codex and Zaboo from The Guild. It was great seeing people. And I got to meet a bunch of her Best Buy work friends.

Which leads me to Best Buy hired me yesterday for seasonal work. I'll be working in tablets and laptops selling. I had assumed seasonal work was all about check out and stocking, and they'd use their normal sales floor team. But I guess I'm wrong. I have to do the drug text next week, then I start training.

We will see how much they need me to work, and then I'll figure out what I'll do with the mall job.

Tonight we are supposed to go to the Inferno. Which will be fun, but we got home at 3am, and I'm hung over and tired. After my shift at the mall I'll probably nap, and then we'll see if I feel up to going out again. I might be getting too old for this.

I took the day off and we went to Milwaukee for the NOH8 photo shoot. Got there around 3:45, got our temp tattoos, was done by 5. We each got a solo and then had one taken together. he takes like 10-15 pictures and they will pick the one they make all pretty. Paul had a plan for his pose, but once you get up there the photographer just tells you what to do, and you do it. It was fun though. Our photos will be online and available for us in like 8 weeks. I'll post the link and then turn mine into an avatar for things. Not sure which icon to ditch here though.

After we stopped by Becky and Drew's for a short visit and then watched Tangled with Jess and Lari. Cute movie, awesome chameleon. Tomorrow is Blythe's WoW grillout, we'll show up and be confused by the WoW talk.

I hope things went smoothly at work today, I'd hate to have either of my coworkers have to deal with any of my barely understood clients.

It was a nice weekend. We did things that let me forget about the stressful things in our lives right now. Blythe's reception was fun. Both the "formal" party and the friends one. It was good to see everyone again.

D&D was fun on Sunday too. I got them to split the party while info searching in town, and then running duplicate combats with each group. I thought it was fun at least.

I interviewed at the Post Office today for some seasonal work. Not sure if I want to take it. More details later.

I'm really, really happy to hear that Blaine (Darrin Criss) will be around for the rest of this season of Glee and next.

Kurt and Blaine sing a duet of "Baby It's Cold Outside" for the Christmas episode. http://www.afterelton.com/tv/2010/11/glee-baby-cold-outside

I will buy that one soon. And I was able to get a video of "Teenage Dream" that I can put on my iPhone, so I can watch it there whenever I want.

Taking tomorrow off, no work and PTO to burn. Maybe the weather will be nice and I can rake leaves.

It was a good weekend / trip up to mom and dad's. Left early on Saturday, got up in time for lunch with mom, grandma, aunt Carol and aunt Sue. Mom made meatballs and mash potatoes, which I love and we usually eat at Christmas Eve dinner. But this year mom and dad are in Saudi with Laura, and Paul and I will be in the Twin Cities with his family, so that won't happen. So it was nice to have.

Then we visited an older friend of ours that I hadn't seen in a while. She talked about her husband who passed recently a lot, but it was good to see her. After that we went to my uncle's house and fished with dad for a bit. Cold but fun.

Then we had sauna and supper with my uncles Jim and Dan and my cousin Tory and his son. As well as a few family friends. Mom made buffalo ribs, yummy.

Sunday we talked with Laura, Jack and Rob on Skype, then I help mom dig up some blubs so they wouldn't freeze over the winter. I stopped by grandma's to see her and Carol on the way back home and let kinda late. I almost didn't make it back with Blythe's car in time for her to make practice (she lent it to me so I could take the rip up there, she is awesome).

I have real work this week, which is nice.

I really, really hate the BatchOutput program we use here. It is supposed to cycle through a bunch of files, making print outs or PDFs of the pages. What it dose is get stuck all the time, crash, drop fonts and forget to include images. Waste of time. And this was one of the things I got yelled at for not using. It causes more rework than it saves, I think.

Also, there is snow on the ground. Enough I had to freaking shovel this morning. And B's Bday bash was canceled. Paul was also not feeling well, so he would have bailed anyway. So it was just me braving the weather to play Trivial Pursuit her and Trevor. The one true friend... Trev won, I took second.

Work today until Paul is done with his job, then hang out with girls (maybe?) and then volleyball.

Snow can go away anytime now... I hate this state.

If it wasn't for the internet, I'd know nothing.

Overhearing (overlooking? overreading? maybe? -- I need new words) a conversation on Facebook between my sister and one of my cousins, I found out another cousin is having some problems with her pregnancy. So my thoughts are with her and little Lily.

Paul has today off and I have to work both jobs. So we really won't see each other much. I'm not even sure I'll get to go home for lunch, since I dropped the car off at the garage this morning so they can see if the Saturn dealership was correct about what's wrong with my car. I hate not trusting people.

I'm planning on stopping out to join B for karaoke tonight after working at the mall. Not sure if Paul will come, we'll play that by ear. I have no plans to sing, but will go cheer her on.

For those who don't read Wendy's website, she plans to be in Wisconsin by mid to late April! Very excited, I can't wait to see her again. And I'm sure she can't wait to see James again.

Not sure what I'll be doing today at work. Might play around with autopouring pages in InDesign using XML.
