I took the day off and we went to Milwaukee for the NOH8 photo shoot. Got there around 3:45, got our temp tattoos, was done by 5. We each got a solo and then had one taken together. he takes like 10-15 pictures and they will pick the one they make all pretty. Paul had a plan for his pose, but once you get up there the photographer just tells you what to do, and you do it. It was fun though. Our photos will be online and available for us in like 8 weeks. I'll post the link and then turn mine into an avatar for things. Not sure which icon to ditch here though.

After we stopped by Becky and Drew's for a short visit and then watched Tangled with Jess and Lari. Cute movie, awesome chameleon. Tomorrow is Blythe's WoW grillout, we'll show up and be confused by the WoW talk.

I hope things went smoothly at work today, I'd hate to have either of my coworkers have to deal with any of my barely understood clients.

BBC Wales, BBC Worldwide and US premium entertainment network Starz Entertainment have just announced a three way partnership that will develop a new series of Torchwood. The new series of ten episodes will be written by Russell T Davies and produced and distributed by BBC Worldwide.

John will return in his role of Captain Jack along with Eve Myles as Gwen. Additional cast are still to be announced.

It's a full 10-episode season! Probably no Ianto, but hopefully it will still be cool. Maybe we can get some flash backs...

Nothing to do at work right now, it's the calm before the storm of next week when I get to work over night shifts. Fun, fun. I do have some industry magazines and emails to read, plus I got a WACOM tablet to try out. It's from a computer of someone who left, but I've never used one before and thought I should try it.

I get to see Becky tonight, she's coming up for dinner and to pick up the syrup I got for her from mom and dad.

Softball went well last night. We won again, we've only lost one game this season. The team is still having fun together, which is the important part. We thought we had gotten a new player too. One of our original players never showed up, and a new girl came up to us and told us she was to play with us. She seemed very cool and was a good player, though she had to adjust from fast pitch to slow pitch. But after the game the Commissioner told us she was supposed to play on Gold, not Yellow. Which is a bummer, we need another player and she was great. I'm hoping she asks to stay with us. Not sure if that will do anything, but we'd love to keep her.

We had our first softball game for this season last night. It was only a scrimmage, but we did win 8 to 2. It was lots of fun. Our team seems like a good group of people. I was surprised about who some of the members ending up being, since when Jess and I picked the team we went by position request and skill ranking. We didn't know some of our friend's last names, so we were pleasantly surprised by some of our members. I'm quite sore today, too much time off from being active. It only took me about 4 innings to remember how to pitch. And I think it was a good thing that Jess and I made some of the first errors on our team, helpful to the new players to see that.

The clients at work continue to be annoying. Asking me to rename a folder on _their_ FTP site because it is confusing is just dumb. They clearly understand what the files are, they can rename that folder just fine. I have actual live work to do, it's a waste of my time.

I've started listening to 2 new podcasts. First is Mur Lafferty's Tor.com podcast. I've only listened to the last two episodes, but both stories were really, really good. And the production was good also.

Second I started listening to the Merciless Storytellers contest put on by Chrisitana Ellis. Very cool idea, basically podcasters submit a 5 minute short story. Chrisitana and her other hosts play them and then give their reviews, a lot like Idol. Then the listeners can go to the website and vote for their favorites. The winner's go into a second round, with longer stories and competes against one of the hosts. That winner gets a portion of the google ad revenue. The first batch of stories were decent. But hearing the host's opinions was fun.

I'm hanging out with Becky tonight, she is in town for an interview. It will be nice to catch up, been too long.

Mmmm, tired. We lost our game last night by one run. But that's ok, it is probably good for the team to have a defeat so we don't get cocky.

There was some drunken drama last night, so wasn't in bed until 2. But I got to hang out with Becky for an hour or so and chat, which was nice. My phone turned itself off for some reason, so when Paul called to see what was keeping me he freaked out since it went straight to voice mail and decided I had died in a car accident on the way home. So Jess drove him back from the bar to check on me. Everything is fine, just silly electronics.

One of my best friends from college found me on Facebook last night. For probably 2-3 years we were pretty much inseperable, but I hadn't seen him in years. Jeramie is doing well, married a year now, has a baby. I'm happy for him and looking forward to doing Facebook messages to catch up. I really like that web site.

Tonight is hanging out with Becky and volleyball.
