Here's a new one, a review of a YouTube channel.

I've been watching a few youtubers for a while now, but a more recent (like last 6 months) vloger I have really started to enjoy.

Neil McNeil is a young gay geek. He is part of Felcia Day's Geek and Sundry channel. I've enjoyed listening to and interacting with a gay geek, which is kind of a rare breed, honestly. Especially in the Midwest.

While still finding his vlogging style, Neil has tried out a lot of different types of videos (colabs, con visits, game walk throughs, serious commentary, etc.) and always asks his viewers input on what they want to see. That is a sign of a great content provider.

One memorable post was about online bullying, mean (even if unintentional) comments and body image:

I was even a part of one of his videos, see around 2:14:

Worked for 5 some hours at Omnipress today. Nothing too exciting. I had planned to go home and clean the house for a bit until Paul got done with work. Then the mall called and asked me to close. So I napped with the puppy instead. Tomorrow I will try to clean.

Some Twitter stuff today that I want to share:

Brent Spiner's new web series is awesome! #FreshHell Ep.1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JveAkAo6FLA

From @feliciaday (Felicia Day): Baby penguin getting tickled = the sound of pure joy. http://bit.ly/dGhucs (via @reddit)

This font decision tree is hilarious, thanks [livejournal.com profile] channonyarrow!

It's really big, and I don't want to direct link, so click and enjoy. http://julianhansen.com/files/infographiclarge_v2.png

My new project (the latest reincarnation of the hell project) is driving me insane. 2 week schedule (that's from when we first get the files to the printer) for the student edition and then 4 weeks for the teacher's edition. That's insane. And of course we don't actually have the files yet, or the specs, or the workflow. So my really short deadline is getting shorter everyday. I was really enjoying being a cog in another person's project. No decisions, no client emails/calls, no meetings. So peaceful. :sigh:

Softball is also being annoying. They set a date for an event, like the team selection meeting, or the skills clinics, and then they move it. Sometimes twice. How can they expect people to make these events if there are last minute rescheduling! :more sigh:

It's a good thing I put hot chocolate mix in my coffee this morning, I think I'll need it.

How far we've come, gay sex scene in a main stream video game. With an elf even! I was always told those pesky elves swing both ways. ;)

Also, I hope everyone has seen Muppets do Bohemian Rhapsody

Of course on the one day I have an 8am status meeting on the current project, which includes the facility manager and my boss, my alarm doesn't go off. I did wake up 15 minutes before the meeting, so I made it in on time, thank god for a 5 minute commute. Then it was pushed back by a half an hour. Oh well. We are still sitting and spinning here, have a ton of pages due out tomorrow, can't get them into proofing since we are sill missing images from the client. Gonna miss deadlines, but we are OK with it since it's not our fault.

Paul had brought his Pokemon cards home the last time he visited his mom, so he showed me how to play last night. It's an OK game, I'm not very good at it, of course. But it's something the 2 of us can do.

We then watched Star Trek reboot. Still good. I wish I had gotten the more extended version, the one I have doesn't have any of the deleted scenes. I guess I should have checked for that, but I figured that deleted scenes was a feature they'd include on all copies. More fail on my account. Might have to get another copy, or something. We will see.

Tired and back is still mega sore. Plus I work at the mall tonight (unless real work has a crisis and I have to work late).

OMG, BEST. XKCD COMIC EVER!

... if you are a type geek like me.

Not gonna make my deadline today at work. Oh well. I am doing the grilling at our company lunch though. Hopefully that will eliminate some of the thoughts that I'm not very social.

Last night at the mall was annoying. People kept coming in wanting watches and stuff. Only got to watch one episode of Supernatural. I'm still 3 behind.
