I'm all out of things to listen to at work. Might have to see if B has anything on her shared iTunes library, and if listening to that crashed my computer or not. I really want my internet back. Need to call AT&T again.

Turns out the eye drops they want me to use for the new allergies will cost over $100 a bottle, I don't think that's worth it. If I can figure out the screwy prescription insurance I have and it takes it to something reasonable, like $10, then I'll try it.

We are going to the opening of the new gay bar in Madison that is on the east side tonight. It supposed to be crazy busy with TV stations and everything, so we'll see how long we last.

I ended up going home after my eye appointment. They used a stronger dilation solution, which ment I could no longer see the computer screen. I think my eyes adjusted back around 8pm. But taking a half sick day ment I could ride along to drop off Avril, Paul's sister. It also turns out that I have eye allergies and now need to take eye drops to correct that. I hate eye drops. But the freckle that is on my eye hasn't changed since last year, so no tumor.

Our iphone came yesterday too. I can't activate mine until Friday when my old contract is up, otherwise I'd have to pay the early termination fee. But Paul can get his going at any time, so he was hoping it'd come early enough that he could then transfer and wipe his old phone, since he's gifting it to his sister. Well his didn't come till after we left to met their mom, so we'll have to mail it later.

Got home 8:30ish and Paul tried to activate his phone. This requires the internet and iTunes. For some reason our phone/internet at home is now out. No dial tone, net fades in and out, and then dies. So we pack up the laptop and head downtown to a coffee shop so we can use their wifi. He has major problems getting it activated and has to spend some quality time with tech support via IM. We are not sure if he talked to a real person or a computer. Finally just as they are sweeping up we get it activated and head home.

Paul had downloaded the software update while at the coffee shop, so he synced his phone to his iTunes again to try and get his music and stuff on it. Well iTunes won't use that download, it wants to talk to Apple again. The net craps out and his phone is stuck in restore mode. So we get back out of bed and drive back downtown and use the Shamrock's wifi while he updates his phone and gets it working again.

It's all fine now and soon I'll call and bitch out AT&T for the net issues. Oh, and I'm kinda tired.

The spot on my eye that was thought to be a tumor last time I went isn't anything to worry about. We need to watch it, but for now it's OK. My prescription changed enough that getting new glasses was a good idea. But it's an expense I wasn't really expecting. My appointment was almost 2 hours, meaning I missed picking Paul up for lunch. Everything is a bit blurry from the dilation, but it should clear up soon. Hopefully I won't mess anything up on my project by not being able to see.

Long weekend.

Friday it took me 5.5 hours to drive up to where the family was for the marathon. Didn't get too lost, arrived around 10pm. Saw my mom, sister, aunt and two cousins run the marathon, they got 7th in their division. My brother-in-law ran the entire thing and got 3rd in his age group. Visited with family, took care of my cousin's son most of Saturday while she was running. Nice to see everyone, not what I'd call restful. After lunch/dinner I drove the 5.5 hours back to Madison, picking up my aunt Carol in Brantwood.

Sunday I cleaned some of the house and then Paul and I went out to get him his hockey gear. He made the gay hockey team and will be starting in a few months. I watched the Olympics while he was fitted for everything. Hockey is expensive! Then we did a bit more odds and ends shopping until I went to volleyball. Had fun, the other team forfitted, so the score didn't matter. We relaxed last night watching more Olympics.

Tomorrow night I have a volleyball reffing calls that I had forgotten about, so I have to skip volleyball. A bit annoying, but it's worth it so that I can officially ref if needed.

I was worn out and crabby most of the weekend. I've decided that there is too much for me to worry about it all. So I'm gonna try and focus on good things and hopefully things won't blow up just cause I'm not fretting about them.

Off to eye doctor now.

Due to a recent insurance change at work I have now picked a new eye doctor and dentist and made appointments. Very annoying that I had to switch. I really liked the woman that cleaned my teeth, she never hurt my mouth. But I was able to accomplish that while making PDFs. Work has been pretty boring today, either answering question to India or the client about the new project, or making printer PDFs for the project that is warping up.
