A K-9 only TV show! How sweet is that? (I need a K-9 icon)

We picked out a coffee table last night. SO the one that my dad made me as a house warming gift will go upstairs. I just never fit well with the decor.

I'm skipping volleyball tonight to go watch Paul play Jess in hockey. This week at volleyball doesn't count for league record, due to the game and a lot of people not being there. I think there is a Sonic run in the plans also, now that one opened up in our city.

Back to work...

Yesterday was mostly taken up with outdoor chores. Very cold and windy, but I got the faucet winterized, the 8 inches of leaves picked up, the grill covered and the gutters emptied. We had to buy a new ladder, as I didn't have one that could reach the roof. We needed one that was very collapsible, so it could fit in both the car and the small tool shed we have. It's not long enough to reach the north west corner, but the job is mostly done.

Then we went to Blades Against AIDs, the fundraiser the hockey team puts on. Lots of people, good food, its was fun. We volunteered for some shifts, I got to know a few of the players more.

Paul has some extra cash now that he's paid off some bills, so it was time to finally replace his computer. He's not pleased with Vista, but we also have a wireless printer we will get set up, so I don't have to print at work only now. We also got an XBox, and I'm enjoying Fabel II. I've even got some guy following me around trying to flirt with me. Gay content in video games rocks. I'm being evil, which is kinda hard for me, but I'm doing my best.

Skipping volleyball again tonight to watch Paul play Jess in hockey. It will be weird finally playing again on Tuesday.

JP's surgery went well. He's not thrilled with the collar cone, but he seems to be healing fine. The cone calms him down too, he kinda lays around now, less jumping and biting.

The wiring in my house continues to confound us. There are no phone jacks in either guest bedroom / office. We do have two in the living room though. This is not conducive to me putting the new router in the office where we need it to be. So tonight I'm taking apart one of the jacks in the living room, drilling holes in the floor to get it into the office and wiring it up again. Then setting up the router. Paul is a bit worried, but I have confidence. Plus there isn't enough juice running though phone cords to give one a shock.

Still skipping volleyball tonight, still annoyed from last week. Which is kinda weird for me, I never hold grudges this long. Oh well, the break from the game should help me with perspective, or something.

Working Blades against AIDs this weekend. It's a fund raiser put on by the gay hockey league to help with AIDs research. I've never made it, as I usually am doing something with volleyball or softball. But since Paul and Jess are going, I am too. It will be fun, I'll get in for free for helping, and I don't have to skate. I am officially a hockey wife now, just call me "Sarah."

JP gets his balls snipped off tomorrow. Poor guy. I keep telling him to enjoy the humping of toys while he can.

Work is busy, the customer is stupid, and yesterday I discovered a major issue with the printing. And since I noticed it months before the print date, we can figure it out before the last minute.

exarian's party on Friday was lots of fun. Sorry she felt sick later on (migrane, not too much drink I hear). It was nice to see people. And Paul, Jess and Lari had a good time, I think. Got home waaaay too late, like 4:30am. I'm in my 30s now (no long 30, now I'm 'in them', so old), can't do that anymore. But I still got up 2.5 hours later and let the puppy out and then drove north.

Seeing people at mom and dad's was nice, especially my sisiter. She's doing well, Jack (future nephew) isn't kicking yet, so I didn't get to feel that, but she looked well. Dad was kinda weird, I think. He spent most of the time cutting Christmas trees. Him working while I'm there isn't new, but he didn't ask me to help and I hradly saw him. I'm going to try not to read to much into it, he probably just needed to get all the trees cut for and order, or something.

Grandma's been getting dizzy spells all week, so I stayed at her place just in case she feel and needed help. She was feeling fine on Sunday, and there are some test results due back today, so we will see where that goes. She isn't too worried, so I won't be either until we know something.

Didn't make volleyball last night either, did manage to make Paul's game though. It's weird being the 'sport' wife. I'm used to being the one out there playing. I really don't know many people in this sport, there isn't a lot of cross over to softball or volleyball. So sitting there can be kinda boring, I know why Paul doesn't like going to volleyball games now. Figuring it out, I won't be playing volleyball for 13 days. Gonna be weird

Have sooo much to do this week at work, got in at 6:30am. Blah. And have to work at the mall tonight. Tired now, gonna be even more tired tonight. :(

Not much else to report. Volleyball was OK last night, I feel that the Tuesday night team is falling apart, no one seems really interested in being there, including me. Might need a change there. Got to visit with Em for a bit, which was nice, but too short. Then I went to hockey practice with Paul, which was cold, but I kept myself occupied with The Sword in the Stone and solitaire on my phone.

Mall tonight, need to work on my latest art project too.

I'm getting sick. Just suddenly last night.

Volleyball was fine, some drama but I wasn't involved.

Saw Paul's first hockey game. Looked like mass chaos to me, but Jess reassured me that there is a reason for it all.

Still have work at Four Lakes, also have to work at the mall tonight.

Avenue Q tomorrow.

Post would be more verbose, if I wasn't feeling so achy.

I was so busy at work Friday (finally, my prayers are answered, no more painting) that I didn't post about the awesome early birthday gift from my man. :)

He got us tickets to see Avenue Q! At the Ovature center too! He's great a gifts.

Today was productive. Got Paul to work, then deep cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, picked up the rest of the house--all with the puppy under foot. Then had lunch with mom, grandma and two aunts (they are at a wedding now, will see them again tomorrow afternoon). Then I mowed the lawn and played with JP until it was time to pick up Paul. Now I'm working at the mall. Saturdays tend to be slow here, so we can close early at 8pm, if there are no customers.

Not sure what we will do after I'm done tonight, but tomorrow is work for both of us, seeing the family again, and then hockey for Paul and volleyball for me. Busy weekend, not enough time together. :(

I guess volleyball went well last night, at least that is what Dudley and Brett said. Before the match we had a short session with us moving though the positions on the floor and where we all should be for offense and defense. During the game I felt lost as usual. Many times where I was completely confused as to where my body should be. And I jammed my thumb on a block, which hurts today still. We lost them all, but I did have fun, just a general feeling of confusion. After that Paul and I hung out with Jess and Lari, played borad games and drank. Paul might be hung over today, we will see when he's awake.

Tried to get up early today, got into work an hour earlier than normal, but wanted to be in even earlier. Oh well, I won't be here too late, even with the time I need to make up.

Wanted to go with Em on the moonlight hike tomorrow night, but I said I'd work at the mall, so gonna have to skip that. It's OK, working and making money is the responsible thing to do, right?

Paul and Jess ended up not being on the same team in the hockey league, which means they will just have to stay longer and watch each other play. This weekend is a team practice, but the next one they start games. I will have to figure out when I can make it.

I am a productive boy!

I cleaned the kitchen (swept and mopped the floors, plus cleaned the counters), the living room (vacuumed and dusted), did laundry, played with the puppy, mowed the lawn, weeded the flower beds, bought and installed dish towel racks in the kitchen, AND fixed my laptop so it sits up on its own! Angle brackets and epoxy putty and he stands up on its own. It's not very pretty, but it works.

I'm still kinda bummed about not going camping, but Em will come and hang out with me at Jess and Paul's hockey clinic tomorrow evening, and maybe come to the drag show after wards. So I can see her then for a bit.

Volleyball was not fun last night. We lost all three games but they were all very close. As a team we did well. But I felt left out and pushed to the side. I don't feel very wanted or that my abilities are being utilized. I don't think I will organize this power team next year.

But my boyfriend treated me to shrimp at Red Lobster afterwards, which was nice.

More painting today, my back and arms are very sore from yesterday too. I might be getting work in so I won't have to paint all next week.

Had the most amusing thing happen on the conference call this morning. Someone hit their mute/hold button while in the conference call and blasted the meeting with classical music. So loud no one could hear anyone else. As this call is a weekly waste of time, we found it hilarious.

Looking forward to camping this weekend with Em. Should be nice to hike and relax on the Wisconsin river. Sunday I'm skipping the first week of volleyball to go and watch Jess and Paul play hockey. It's only a skills session for them, but will be nice to watch. Volleyball is only a social session anyway, so all I will miss is meeting new people.
