Mar. 15th, 2011 01:53 pmToday is Jack's birthday, he's 2. His mom keeps telling him that it's his birthday and that he is now Two. "Jack One," he replies. "No, Jack is now two, it's your birthday." "Jack One Two." "Oh, OK."
He was super excited this morning when he was told that it was his birthday and he had presents. "Santa came?!?!" He's not 100% sure on this birthday thing.
I called him on my break at work to wish him a happy birthday. Laura answers and tells Jack, "Jack, guess who's on the phone? It's Uncle Jason to say Happy Birthday to you." Jack: "Hi Uncle Jason, Happy Birthday."
He got a new backpack with a giraffe on it and brought cookies into day care, so he's having a good day. The real party will happen next week when Rob's parents fly in to spend spring break with them. Unfortunately with the military occupation of Bahrain by Saudi forces, it might make it hard for Nancy and Steve S. to get there. The plans was for them to met up in Bahrain and then fly to Tailand for vacation. They might just have to meet in another country instead.
Best of luck to them.
I didn't send him anything with the speed things travel it's not worth it (though I should have given it to Nancy and Steve to bring, oh well). Instead he'll get something when they come home for summer vacation. I'm thinking a bunch of plastic dinosaurs or some really big bugs. All boys should have those two things to play with, IMO. I did.
I miss them.
