Today is Jack's birthday, he's 2. His mom keeps telling him that it's his birthday and that he is now Two. "Jack One," he replies. "No, Jack is now two, it's your birthday." "Jack One Two." "Oh, OK."

He was super excited this morning when he was told that it was his birthday and he had presents. "Santa came?!?!" He's not 100% sure on this birthday thing.

I called him on my break at work to wish him a happy birthday. Laura answers and tells Jack, "Jack, guess who's on the phone? It's Uncle Jason to say Happy Birthday to you." Jack: "Hi Uncle Jason, Happy Birthday."

He got a new backpack with a giraffe on it and brought cookies into day care, so he's having a good day. The real party will happen next week when Rob's parents fly in to spend spring break with them. Unfortunately with the military occupation of Bahrain by Saudi forces, it might make it hard for Nancy and Steve S. to get there. The plans was for them to met up in Bahrain and then fly to Tailand for vacation. They might just have to meet in another country instead.

Best of luck to them.

I didn't send him anything with the speed things travel it's not worth it (though I should have given it to Nancy and Steve to bring, oh well). Instead he'll get something when they come home for summer vacation. I'm thinking a bunch of plastic dinosaurs or some really big bugs. All boys should have those two things to play with, IMO. I did.

I miss them.

My sister and bro-in-law started a blog for their time over in Saudi Arabia. Rob is a surprisingly funny guy, even in writing. He's always been a kidder, great to joke around with, who knew it'd translate to the written word?

Also I have a bunch of Dreamwidth invite codes, if anyone wants one.

Vacation was good, but way too short.

Thursday we got up there around 1, hung out with Paul's mom and met his sister at her college. She gave us a mini tour, it's a very pretty campus. Then we had dinner with his family and got to my aunt and uncle's (where we were staying) after midnight.

Friday Paul dropped me off at my sister's mother-in-law's and I helped her watch Jack for the day. It was a lot of fun, he's a really well behaved and happy baby. Then that night we had dinner with Paul's family again, with the addition of his cousin and family. I spent most of the night with Paul's cousin's daughter (Chee-a-wan [there is no way I spelled that correctly], she's 3) watching Disney movies and playing with JP. I was very proud of our puppy for not jumping and putting up with her "petting" and hugging. I think he got like 5 kisses on the mouth when she left. We were also treated to a performance by Chee-a-wan to some Korean music videos. And dinner was amazing! Traditional Korean lettuce wraps with choices of chicken or pork and lots of fixings. And I even ate some Kimchee.

Saturday I helped Laura watch Jack and set up for a wedding shower for one of Rob's family members. Lots of women and cooking. Had a good time with Jack though, when he wasn't being passed around. Then that night Paul joined us, along with Rob, and we ordered Mexican and played Settlers of Catan and Killer Bunnies. Laura kicked out butts in both games.

Yesterday we had short good-bye visits with both families and then hit the mall to return a belt Paul got that was the wrong size. Then a long drive home though intense storms.

Tired today and my back and neck hurt a lot. Have to try and get back into the swing of work, plus mail out something for Laura. Also I'm growing out my beard for halloween and my neck is very itchy.

I really have no interest in working today. I'd rather goof off online or soemthing. And today I actually have things that can occupy my time. Nothing has to be done today, but things could be.

When I arrived at work this morning I noticed a bunch of our company's letter head laying on the ground. After a few more employees showed up we wondered areound out side and collected a garbage bag full of them. The top of the recycling bin was open and they all blew out. Most cold and annoying.

We now have over 80 people signed up for softball, which is at least 6 teams, maybe 8. I don't think I'll have to do anymore recruiting drives. Granted the volleyball drives will be starting next. Yeah for me. Me and Bob were actually talking about how tired we are of being out at the gay clubs every night. Tonight is sitting at home time. I was happy to hear that the volleyball posters I made have been getting a lot of attention. People seem to like them, they "catch the eye." Might have something to do with the naked male chest on it with the guy holding a volleyball. Perhaps.

Might hit the gym tonight, we'll see. Very odd how last week I went 4 times and this week I might go once. Taking a break from tanning for a day or two, I have stingy pink areas that need to heal a bit before they are subjected to the tanning bed again.

Rob and I have moved to friends who can chat. He seem more comfortable with me not being quiet as obvious with my interest. Move another guy from the "datable" list to "friend".

The drag show last night was good, fun to see Dave and Craig up there on stage. Pretty much given up on Rob now. He emphasised again that he has a boy friend, just not in Wisconsin. And then started into "And Sam is a really good friend of mine, you should think..." at which I decided I was distracted and left him for another part of the bar. Seriously, if everyone is going to go with that line I might as well just date Sam, wheather I like him that way or not.

I'm tired today too, I'd like to go home and nap some more.

Last night was lots of fun, if not a bit late. I seem to have cut back on drinking, or I should say on the interest in drinking. Hanging out at the bar sober was quite cool. I'm not sure if I really needed to start flirting with a new guy with both Dave and Rob there. But options are the spice of life, right? I totally should have gotten something out of Dave when I won the bet that Benjamin (the new guy) is gay and not straight. I thought my gaydar was bad, his is terrible.

Today is day one of three for the convention. I'm a touch nervous, but I'm sure it will go fine. The trick will be making the Blades Against AIDs event Saturday night.

Oh well, so much for the gym tonight. Have a rush Apex project instead. After I make all this money I'll just get liposuction or something. *g* (kidding)

New art over at [livejournal.com profile] pollyjuiceboy

Probably a late night since I'm registering people at the Shamrock. Hopefully I won't get plastered and can chat with Rob some more.

Weekend went well. Not enough sonw for the race, so they cut it in half and made it non-competitive. So everyone just showed up and skiied. Everyone from my family finsihed. I'll post pictures later. I slipped on the ice and fell on my back. Arm hurts still. The drive back wasn't great, but lots of snow.

The Miss Club 5 show last night was fun. Sam won, which is awesome. Thrid times a charm. I have phone pictures of that, which I will try to post. The lesson I learned was to not kiss a drag queen, you get glitter in your teeth. And everyone after that asks why you are covered in glitter.

Have plans made to call Rob and see if he can do dinner. I asked him to dinner but Monday is his busy work day, so he's not sure when he's done. He seems to go to the bars a lot. He is in charge of some sound equipment that the Sham and Club use. Last night he was the lead judge for the contest. I do not think I can see him if he expects me to stay out till bar time every night. I just can't do that. But I'm not giving up yet, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The Oscars last night were good. Loved Ellen.

Today will be a lot of envelope stuffing and copying, as Em said, I'm getting paid a lot more than at Apex to do mindless work. This is good? Maybe?

Volleyball was fine last night. Went to the Shamrock after for a softball meeting. I kind of forgot it was Mardi Gras, so was not ready for the party. But it was fun. I had an awesome time watching Ben get molested by some guy, me and Eric making fun of him behind the drunk-boy's back. So much drama at the gay clubs, worse than a HP role-play. :)

Talked with Rob. He isn't scared of me, but as he put it, I was a bit aggressive last week. And he's not. So I'll watch that. Tried to follow him to Club 5. It was so packed. Between 18+ night and Mardi Gras, there was no where to park. I walked two blocks to get there. Then it was so busy I couldn't find him. So I left earlish and will try and run into him again soon. Might call him Thursday. But he did ask me to met him at the Club, so there's progress, yes?
