Well, my laptop is not turning on anymore. I should have noticed that it had been a long time since something expensive and important to me had broke. Hopefully I can get it to Shawn this weekend so we will have it to bring to the Twin Cities with us next week. I was planning on doing the redesign of my website. So much for that idea.

I really want to know what I did to throw my karma off so much. Pretty depressed today, not surprisingly. Seems no matter what we do, things just get worse. What is the point of trying so hard at life if nothing pays off?

It's quarter to eight and I want a stiff drink.

Work continues to drag. Nothing to do, looking around the office most everyone is reading something online. I finished the InDesign magazines yesterday. Today I found an archive of Adobe magazines, so am slowly going through them. I like PDF/online magazines, the added videos and sound clips add a lot, IMO. Have considered taking PTO, but the weather is crappy and I feel it'd be a waste of my limited time off.

I've started to read fanfic again. This time I'm focusing more on novel length works. And usually a lower content rating. I got all the way though Cartographer Craft by [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller already. I really liked that one. Canon up to HBP, Sirius/Harry. Normally not a pairing I like or will read. But Sirius is younger, so its less weird. Now I've m moved onto Laocoon Children by the same author. I was intrigued by the title, the Laocoon Group is my favorite Roman sculpture, but so far have no clue how the title fits with the plot. It's a rework of Harry's story, with just a few changes that impact the actions a lot. I am enjoying it. He also has some Torchwood pieces which I will try soon.

Still a bit freaked out about the car/money/laptop issue. But I've decided to calm down, focus more on Paul and I, and relax. So I am reading more. And that is working, I think.

Apparently for the warranty I have on the car now I needed to have the dealership contact the company before repairs were done and then they pay. I'm sending them a letter asking to ignore procedure this time, pay me back for what's been fix on the car, and from here on out I will do it in the correct order. Here's hoping.

Well that "service engine soon" light that came on last week was right. $1,800 in car repairs today. Transmission and power steering are almost dead. I wish I knew why my car suddenly decided to die, last few months have been nothing but repairs. I almost have a new car with everything that has been replaced.

I am now quietly hyperventilating and trying not to think about it. Work has also asked for volunteers to take more time off this week. SO no chance of OT and maybe will run out of work soon. I applied at Walgreens this weekend on Jess' suggestion. Hopefully they will interview me and I can get a second job. I will burn out, but maybe I will make enough extra money to get back to the black. And being that tired might mean I don't stress out about things. Probably not, but its a nice thought.

Will be curling into a ball when I get home. Was going to try and hit the gym and see if I can get my laptop fixed tonight. But I think I can use the laptop as is. It works, just won't stay open on its own.

After fiddling with cords, I can now see my desktop again. However, the screen dose not sit up on its own. Not sure what kind of repair that will take. I hate stress on weekends, seems unfair.

I just tripped on my power corad and my laptop fell off the coffe table. It is now borken. It seems to start up, but the screen is completely dead. I just can't win. I don't understand why so many things are going wrong these days. I don't know what I did for this much bad karma. What ever it was, I'm sooo sorry.

I will log off Tom's computer now before I start posting here like I uzed to 4-5 years ago.
