Good weekend, tired now.

Friday drove north to mom and dad's, listened to spellcast most of the way, HP fanfic read on a podcast. Lots of family all weekend. The reception went well. I didn't speak or anything, just not the right set up for that. Saw many people, talked a lot, drank much beer. Drove back down here at 9:30 Sunday morning. Got to the softball coaches meeting on time. Pitched for like an hour straight. I was helping out at the hitting station. Was very tired, dusty and sore after that so I didn't play in the pick up game. Have at least 2 blisters per foot, if not more. Went down to the Shamrock for dinner, said HI to non-softball friends. Then went to Club 5 for Miss Gay Madison pagent. Had my own table down front (it's good to know people). Drank some more, talked more, danced after the show was done. Saw Adam, he had some boy with him that I don't remember the name. I was right to figure that nothing was going to happen with him. Tired and very sore today.

At like 3:00 Friday I got what is probably my last project at the WCA. They are going to move my office to another office. So I have to go though everything in the drawers here and figure out what is keepable, what is trash and what I don't know about and have to have someone else look at. Now why I didn't get that earlier in the week, no clue. But that is what I'm doing this week. Looking forward to next week and new job.

I had a faboulus time at the Shamrock tonight. I was supposed to hook up with Adam (the main reason I didn't go north after work) but he bailed cause his fag-hags were being a pain and wanted to stay home. Instead, i hung out with Mitch and Glen. Mitch is fun and awesome, plus he makes me feel cute. Glen owns the Shamrock bar and guess who might be the next web master for the Shamrock! ME! w00t!

[livejournal.com profile] wenhaver and [livejournal.com profile] rilawick, I might be asking you for web advice if I have ot handle stuff I don't know, but you love me so it will be OK. (I'm drunk, can you tell?). But if I do I get employee prices, which is $2 a drink and a $1 off food. Plus I'll be friends with one of the most important gay men in Madison. It will be so cool, and Glen is a aweseom guy. I'd so do him.

But I will wait for Adam, who I will call on Sunday and we will do something. I'm happy he called to say he was busy tonight, and not just let me sit. Shows he has some interest at least.

We tried really hard last night but just couldn't win any of our games. We had it in us, just couldn't finish. Most of us were playing rough too. I did however break a window. The doors between the bar and the courts have saftey glass in them. Running after a stray ball I had to suddenly stop myself from hitting the wall with my hands. My left hit the center of the glass on the door and left a spiderweb crack thoughout the pane. I flet really bad, but fortunently the staff was more worried about my hand and if I was OK. Apparently the last guy to do that (did it on purpose and) put his fist all the way though it. Then the idiot pulled it back out, cutting open all of his blood vessels from the wire. I just had a fine dust of glass on my palm and a sore hand. I hope they don't bill me, it was an accident.

I'm trying to decide if I will go home this weekend. It's Easter, and mom would like me there. But I just got home and would like to stay and finish my living room (the blinds are finally here) and possibly hook up with Adam. I'll have to decide tonight and call mom.

The icon is from the gay themed Ohlala blog that I read a lot. Many pretty guys and gay current events. The picture is actually one of the two writters/maintainers, Steph.

[livejournal.com profile] exarian's birthday was fun. Good to see [livejournal.com profile] flamestar_m, we reminised about college a bit (sorry I missde you yesterday, but you didn't call!). Had lots of beer and then walked up to me Em and her family at Madison's for some martinis (which is what one drinks after a liter of beer, 2 martinis). After that I waundered back to the Great Dane to hang out with the birthday party again, but left around midnight cause I was tired from working all day.

Sunday was a lazy morning. I pretty much just watched Spuernatural and Skins. At 1:00 I went to play bingo at the High Noon for the AIDs Network. It was packed! Very warm in there but it was fun to just chill with friends. It's kinda cool, I think. I know enough people that I can just go to an event like that, or to a gay bar and I know that there will be people there to hang out with. I hate going places and just sitting by myself, so I have been making sure someone would be there to meet me. But now I can just stop in, and there is usually someone who I can chat with. Very cool. I didn't win anything at bingo, but some friends did, which was cool.

After that I relaxed at home, had dinner and watched more Supernatural. Adam called me, appologized for not running into me Saturday night (they were down on University until late and I guess everyone was buying him drinks) and not calling me for brunch Sunday (he was hung over from all the drinks). But the poor guy was lost on the east side and had to get to work. He was quiet desprate but had the eppifany that he could call me cause I live on that side of town. I walked him through the steps back to the nice familiar side of town. It was so cute. Hopefully he won't have hooked up with someone by the time I get back from Jamaica.

The house concert at Kiki's (or Kiki's House of Rightous Music, as the Onion called it--that's right, it was in the Onion) was lots of fun. Josh and Blake were great. John D. Graham was good, though there's something about the guy I didn't like. Not sure what. The Silo's were lots of fun when they played rock. Their ballards were good, but I was sleepy and it was hard to stay awake during some songs. Saw tons of people, met new people, it was cool.

22 hours and I fly south!

The first shift at the Hilton went well. Wasn't too busy, had fun working with Shannon. Didn't make very much in tips, but the barista rate is OK for that. Then when I was suppose to go home Shannnon asked me to stay though lunch. Apparently management thought that this was the plan and thus didn't have anyone else to cover the Olive Bar during lunch. It sucked, was hard and lots of work. I was super tired and totally would have quit, if I hadn't made $90 in tips. So I told Shannon I'll take a few months off, but would work there again.

What really pissed me off about working late is I had planned to go home and nap before 3:00. Cause that was when I was supposed to call Adam and meet him for lunch. So I skipped the nap and we went to Red Robin, had an nice lunch and chat. Then headed down to State Street and walked arounf there, still talking. I don't know, I think it was a date. I'm supposed to try and meet up with him tonight downtown, which I will after/during [livejournal.com profile] exarians party. He's not as cute as I rememeber form the bar, but I was drunker then and it was bar lighting. He might meet me for brunch tomorrow too. It would be cool if this turned into something. He seems really cool.

Team chooseing last night went well. We are having 11 teams (up from 8 last year). The interest is good, except with an odd number of teams, one team will have a bi each week. I'm not too happy about that, I want to plat more. We are having around 13 players per team, we can field 10, so the extras are for attrition. I had 14 people wanting to be on Orange, so I cut one guy that didn't have any ties to other players and ended up with 3 guys (including me) and 10 women. I feel kinda bad about that, a lot of the other teams ended up with only one or two girls. It's not that I'm hording all the good softball players lesbians, its just that they all wanted to be on the team. We only have two "A" level players, so I don't see us dominating the league. And I will have no pissed off girls at me, which is very good.

Volleyball was fun afterwards. The other team was good, if not a bit whiney. We one two, played hard. The floor was slippery from all the humidity in the air. And the courts smelled bad, like sweat. Ben seemed very tired and down, I think being softball commish is hard. He has to listen to a lot of complaining. He seemed better after some good physical exercise. And like he said, after the season starts he won't have to do much. He can give it all to Marky.

I called the guy that moved here from Milwaukee to remind him that he should sign up soon. He seemed surprised and pleased that I took the time to do it. He's really cute, so I'd love for him to play and thus I can get to know him more. It is getting close to the time for me to find my next summer boy. ;)

Six days and I fly out. I'm getting excited.
