radlilimBirthday so far has been good.
Paul picked me up from work on Friday and surprised me with roses at home. They are beautiful. The two of us then finished with the decorating and party planning and had an hour or so to relax before the guests arrived. He let me open my gifts and I got a Super Scrabble board with ridges to keep the pieces in place, perfect for playing in bed. He also got me season 2 of Angel and Heros.
People started to roll in around 9. The house looked wonderful from all of Paul's planning. The grave stones, pumpkins and fog machine made the front and back yards very cool. Kinda spooky even. I think we ended up with something like 25 people over. A few didn't show up who I expected to, but thats fine. Everyone seemed to get along well. Lots of beer and food was consumed. It was great to see Em, Shannon, Mick, and Angela and Kevin, as I don't see them often.
Everyone was gone by 3:30 and we fell asleep at about 4. I woke up around noon and have been cleaning all morning. Paul is still resting, but he's been running himself ragged all week getting things ready for this, so he deserves it. And I don't mind cleaning. Mom and grandma should call soon and we will go off to dinner.
Not sure if we will go out tonight. Right now I'm leaning towards not going anywhere and staying home and resting, but we will see.
