Dec. 21st, 2006 02:39 pmI am not ready for the amount of administration tasks that are involved in the new job. I'm not only in charge of making the various brochures and news letters, but I also have to talk to printers and schedule printing dates plus checking proofs and keeping on top of deadlines. Also I am tasked with talking to the various vendors and members about the advertising deals they get with their membership. Plus I have to deal with non-member advertising too (including payment options). And then when the adds come in I have to deal with customer files and getting them print safe.
On top of this I have the other projects that I've been given. I think I'll be OK and I'm not stressed, just a bit concerned that this is more work than expected. I used to be able to work at this pace back when we were busy with complicated stuff at Apex/Impressions. The years of easy text corrections that I just finished with has dulled my efficency abilities. But from what I've heard of Apex, it is even worse now, I got out at a good time
