Camping and Hiking

radlilimVery eventful weekend. Friday was OK, I totally sucked at softball, I will never put myself in the outfield again, I am much better at short or thrid. It will be my contribution to the team not to play left center ever again. Then downtown, where we went for wings, then back a bit early. Ignore the eariler post, I was in a mood.
Saturday got some neat hiking shirts at REI's sale, and they'll work well for going out. Then packed everything up and went to Govenor Dodge State Park, where we hiked with almost full packs for 6-7 miles. Then drove back to Spring Green where we were to camp at Nate's place. But when we saw some campers on the sand bars of the Wisconsin, we pulled of and beach camped. The water was very nice and refreshing and relaxing. Crashed around 10ish, up by 6ish.
Had good breakfast at the Round Barn in Spring Green, then back to the park. Where we hiked another 12 or so miles. Very hot, I was very tired, and I need to go to REI and have them teach me how to pack my backpack. Hopefully I won't die out at Tahoe, but I think I'll be seeing the back sides of Drew and Scott a lot on that trip. I hope I can keep up a good enough pace to make all the camping sites.
I'm sore and tired. Now to call cousin Jim and crash.
