radlilimThe weekend was very full and emotionally draining. We went up to the Twin Cites, sort of on the spur of the moment (decided on like Tuesday), Friday night after Paul was done with work. We arrived late, around 11:30 and I had to be up at 5:30am to get over to Laura's house to watch Jack while she and my brother-in-law Rob ran a 5K. Paul decided to join me, instead of sleeping in, so we took care of Jack's waking up rituals and breakfast. After Laura and Rob got back we all hung out and played with Jack until his nap around 11am. Paul and I went back to Rob's folks place, where we were staying, to help set up the going away party. Lots of people came, both family and friends. We finished cleaning up around 8pm. Then Paul and I went back to Laura's to visit with them and my family (mom, dad, an aunt, an uncle and grandma).
Sunday Paul visited with his mom and sister, and I went off with Laura, Jack, Mom and Dad to have lunch with my aunt and uncle again and to see their new house in progress. Got to se grandma too. Then we visited back at Laura's until 4pm when Paul came and got me to drive back home.
It was nice to see them, but I was sad a lot of the time too. It's still great they are going, but I will miss them all. Laura got me a webcam, so we can set up Skype and talk to them.
