I'm feeling a little abandoned at work today. Neither of my project managers are in, and I have questions that I need help answering or at least help making decisions on. Granted it's early, they might be planning on coming in late morning, it is Sunday after all.

None of our contacts at the client seem to be in, must be nice to have weekends off. I have a few questions for those project leads at the client too, which I'm just kinda ignoring and making lists of files I need to go back to.

Plus the IT support people at the client's site seem to be either off or the "on-call" people there are useless. Our workflow contains a step where I send the files I'm done with into a PDF generator, where the PDFs for the printer and/or inspection are created. It seems to be stuck/crashed/dead since 1:30 pm yesterday. And now I have around 100 files just sitting in line, waiting to be processed. As they go though I need to watch the error logs to make sure the PDF was made fine, else I have to fix the problem and resend it. AND, some of these PDFs that are being made need to be placed in the pages I'm working on today.

I have this huge looming deadline of Monday morning, and it feels like I have no support. And of course those reasons won't matter to the client when I can't deliver everything tomorrow morning, they will just yell and bitch all the harder. It still scares me that these politically minded, petty, and blame throwing people are also the ones who decided what our children are learning from. The text book industry is an ugly place.
