Oct. 29th, 2009 10:52 amWell yesterday was a hell of a day at work. Just cause of all we had to get out. It went OK, no major problems, but keeping track of all 9 piles of pages that had to ship (where they were, what stage they were in, who's doing what) filled my brain up. Not used to those long days.
Today is a breathing day. We have only 3 more batches of pages to get out tomorrow, and they are moving though the system fine. Today is also allowing me to get some tracking processes figured out, so I don't have to run around crazy so much, and has allowed me to stream line the system more. This might have been able to be done if I'd been brought in when the project started up, but it's not too late to benefit from it. I feel I'm becoming a person to be brought in to help organize a smaller part of a bigger project. So they are trusting me some again. And the number of people who are reporting to me is manageable too.
Next week will be long though, 4 batches out on Wednesday and then 10 out on Thursday. With the added complication is a lot of those are being done in Chenni, India and thus they have to do it, we have to output and proof it and then still get it out. Keeps me busy at least.
I'm also getting some other personal things done today too, which is nice. Looking forward to Angela's party tomorrow night. And I have like $50 to spend at the iTunes store plus some extra birthday money. I'm waiting for Star Trek IX at least, but might get another movie/tv series/book also. We will see.
My nephew is super cute!
