radlilim: (yoga One with yourself)

This is kinda aimed at [livejournal.com profile] channonyarrow or [livejournal.com profile] spamcola, but anyone with decent music libraries feel free to answer.

I'm looking for music that is calm and relaxing, stuff easy to do yoga too. In an effort to do it more, I'm looking into iPod apps for yoga, and while most don't have their own music, you can play stuff from your play lists. I suppose I could run to half-priced and find some in the clearance rack, but if anyone has any they can upload/email me?

Namaste!

I just put together a two hour playlist of music that might work for you. It's World Music, heavy on the Middle Eastern (actually, I tell a lie, it's almost all Middle Eastern, with a side of African Pygmy Techno). I'll upload it and link you to it if you want it, but it's not an organised playlist - I just have it set on shuffle, basically, in iTunes, so it's different every time.

I also have the lovingly-titled Music To Gas Cows To playlist, which is world, grunge, and alt-country - don't know if that's of interest. What sort of music are you looking for, though? Stuff with a beat, or really quieter stuff?

Quieter, probably with an Indian influence. Anything you might hear if you walked into a New Age shop. :)

Hm. At some point today, I'll upload those three/four albums from the world playlist (one's a chillout album, so probably good) and you can dl them all and pick whatever works for you. When I'm not frantically filling out fucking forms for school. (Look ma, I alliterated!)

Unfortunately, death is not an option. I hope things get better for you as soon as this project's off your desk - it sounds like it's been a clusterfuck from one end to the next on the client's side. Take some time off and relax!

I don't know if any of these are what you have in mind; I also have lots of other World music, most of it Central Asian/Middle Eastern, but much of it's very slow stuff, so let me know what of this works, or if none of it does, and I'll let you know if I've got anything else appropriate.
