Well, I just spent a few weeks learning Applescript, reading, getting books, looking at stuff online, only to find out that not only can i NOT do what I want to with it, but the problem I was trying to solve has already be solved, with Python, by someone at my company!

It was the other guy. So the solution has been around for ages. But it doesn't work on the Mac yet, so I have some work to do. And I do know a bit more of AS now.
