radlilimThe pumpkins and other fall veggies that I bought from a guy at work yesterday are very nice. I spentl ike $35 on pumpkins, gourds and corn. The house will look nice for my party, though the pile of veggies on the kitchen floor will get annoying after a bit. I don't think I can leave them there for a month.
The first Madison InDesign User group last night went well. Saw a few people I know from various business dealings. The presentation covered sutff I already knew. Basically these events are just an excuse for me to reassure myself that I am a power/expert user. People were just amazed by things that I've been doing for years.
Volleyball went OK. I am starting to feel like I'm being pushed out of playing. I've been taken out of passing when in the back row. And I rarely get set. As for the passing, I'm not the best passer, but I am just as good as some of the other guys. I think I have been removed from passing because of who I am next to in the rotation, not because of my abilities, though. And while I understand that I'm a weak side hitter and thus will be set a lot less than middle or strong side, I still feel that the other weak side hitter (on the other side of the rotaion) gets set more than I do. I'm chalking that up to the different styles in the two setters, and once again not my abilities. I can't start thinking that I'm not a good player, else I'll get depressed and just quit. I'm not sure how to fix this, I tried talking to someone about it, maybe I'll talk to the setter. Last night I mostly blocked ineffectivley (the hitter that I was blocking could jump high enough that his belly was level with the top of the net and he could spike the ball so it hit the ground in front of the 10 foot line, so it's not like anyone expected me to block him) and ran deep as a hit would richette off another team mate. I was able to bring back wild hits about 4 or 5 times in the match. I was kinda annoyed that I was the only one who would run for the ball though, but that might just be due to the age of the rest of the players.
After that I watch an episode of Grey's and then drove Paul to Cub so he could get something for dinner, as he didnt' want anything in the house. 2am seem kinda late to run to the store, but since the two of us never see each other I guess sacrifices need to be made.
Now I'm tired and working. I have stuff to keep me busy today and I'm getting better at stretching work and not plowing though it as fast as I can.
I had to change another auto-withdrawal to the account I am closign due to the wallet loss. It really annoys me when my agent leaves a company and no one tells me or informs me who my new contact person is. You'd think that would be common curtasy when accounts are transfered. I know that in my industry when a CSR leaves the one who gets the abandoned accounts introduces themselves to their new accounts. Seems only right.
