(no subject)

What I was supposed to do this morning at work seems to have been done last night. So I deep cleaned my desk, dust bunnies seem to collect behind the monitor a lot.

JP was sick last night, or at least throwing up a lot. No worms (which I guess is something to watch for). And generally he seemed fine. He was running around, chipper, then he'd just stop and upchuck. Seem ok this morning though. Paul stayed up late to watch him.

If work continues to be slow I might work on my online portfolio, we shall see. I might be swamped with work in the next 5 minutes.

Working at the mall tonight, plan to catch last night's Glee.

The girls came over last night and gave me an early birthday present, the 3rd expansion to Munchkin Cthulhu. Different artist than normal, I like John's work better, but the sub artist has a Cthulhu based web comic, I guess, which I'll check out later. Game ran late, but I won, so yeah for that.

A great man died this week, I'm a little miffed that no one called to tell me, that I had to find out when my cousin Erin randomly IMed me on FB to see if I'd be home for the funeral, but I will deal with that when I get a hold of mom.

Walter Rosenloft really was an amazing person. He was the closest thing I had to a grandpa. My fraternal grandpa died before I was born and my maternal one left when I was about 10, and we didn't do a whole lot together before then. Walter was a close family friend, and our family did many things with him and his wife. We went hunting and fishing (in all seasons) together. We went trapping often, and he let me shoot a coyote that was caught in one of his traps. We made maple syrup with them, and they are the ones that sold my family the syrup making equipment when they wanted to get out of that hobby. He was a wonderful baker, their house always smelled of fresh made pies and cookies. Walter was one of the first people to ever use a chainsaw in Wisconsin. He's done most every job that needed doing in the midwest, as long as it was out doors. I wrote a paper on him when I was in school, I should really find that and make sure it is saved. I'm not positive on his age, but we was over 90, I think (Edit: he was 97). I haven't seem him or Dorothy for a few years now, which is really sad, and now I can't. I will have to just remember him.

I'm not sure if I'll make it up for the service tomorrow. It's very short notice, but if I can get a hold of mom and the funeral is at a time where I can drive up tomorrow and get back tomorrow night, I will try. Granted I have to get out of work from both jobs to do that.
