Writting self reviews for work is the biggest wank ever. And they _expect_ me to brag myself up. So annoying.

A few things from the weekend that missed the last post:

I ran into "fake-BJ" Derek again, which is not a surprise since he's from Milwaukee. He remembered me and we chatted for a bit. Still cute, still bought whatever he was selling, still attached.

Joe's pooch pooped a few too many times in the hotel room. Kinda stinky. Granted it also ate like a pound of trail mix it had dug out of my bag. The dog weighs like 10 pounds, it was crapping out whole peanuts all weekend.

I didn't get to hook up with Becky, even though we were both in town. I'll see her in two weeks at Matt Clark's wedding though, so all good.

The gay bars in Milwaukee are lots of fun, and there are many of them. Finally found something in that city I like.

It was very amusing how the bars across from the park where all the games were being played turned into gay bars for the weekend. The businesses must be used to it by now and I'm sure they made tons of money.

I met a ton of new people, which was awesome.

At the banquet they had a slide show of random shots from the games going. There were like 4 or 5 of me. Which is really weird--the photographer must have thought I was cute. I mean, 45 some teams, times 12 players, that's like 540 gays. And I get focused on that much? *beams*

My pitching was off because the rules in Milwuakee are a bit different than I'm used to, so my strike zone was different. And each ump seemed to change it also. In one game the base ump told me that when I was pitching I would rock back, pick my foot off the pitcher's mat and then set it back down when I pitched. Which is illeagel, I guess. Thus half way though that game and then the last game I totally had to change my pitching stance and motion. Not a good idea without practice. I didn't walk anyone home though, so I'm happy with that. So my pitching wasn't very good (IMO) but my fielding was awesome.

I had a totally sexy play. I had this one where I was running up on a grounder to my right, couldn't get my glove around to grab it, so I just snatched it barehanded off the ground and threw the runner out at first (who needs a glove?). By that time all the other Madison teams had been knocked out of the running, so they were all watching. We had an awesome cheering section. They had some creative cheers. My favotie (and we were the Mad City Kitties) was, "Litter box! Litter box! Scoop 'em up and throw them out!"

I will repeat, had an awesome time. So looking forward to going to Orlando in the winter and then the Twin Cities for next Memorial Day. Both look like they might happen.

And next Sunday I get to work at the Hilton at 4 fucking AM. It's the iron man and we need to open early. Shannon begged very nicely, but it will suck.
