radlilimWork continues to be interesting. Still have some long stretches of boring/monkey work (i.e. I have to check over 8,000 links tomorrow--which is clicking on the web link in a table of contents and making sure that it goes to the correct paper). But there are enough interesting and non-standard things to do also.
During the short three months I'm working through the temp agency I get vision insurance. Omnipress doesn't have any, but they do have a flex plan that I will probably use to save enough for an eye appointment every year. So I decided to get into the eye doctor during these three months, get my eyes checked and get new glasses. Eyes are fine, no change. I got cute new glasses, with wide steel color bows that have geometric (almost Frank Lloyd Wright) cut outs in them. I'll post pictures when I get them in a few weeks. There are so few decent choices in the "men's" styles. No color at all. I almost got a "woman's" pair, but we decided on this steel colored pair.
Tons of things to do tonight, but I'm still tired/recovering from Monday night. We had our first softball game and we did OK. Lost by 4, mostly because it took us like four innings to figure out how to bat again. I hit an in-field home run, which broke our no run streak and seemed to jolt the team into having some energy. After, Paul and I went to two of the sponsor bars, and stayed out until 1:30am. Drank too much, didn't get enough sleep, Tuesday (and today) were rough.
