The March of Dimes event went well. Had some issues finding the correct building in all the construction, but made it in time. The food was good, it was nice to see Ben and Daniel again. Paul was feeling sick, so we left after I got done eating, didn't stay and bid on any of the items. They had some nice packages for dinenrs and shows in Madison, the Dells and the Twin Cities. Oh well, saving money is probably better.

We napped a bit at home until Paul felt a bit better, then played with the Wii for a bit.

Today is busy, as usual. Have my projects squared away and now onto [livejournal.com profile] exairian's.

[livejournal.com profile] wenhaver called me last night and I think in January I will host an all gay boy Passion Party. If I can get enough interest. Sent out an email today I'll see what I get back. Will do a MySpace and a Facebook email too.

Well, we have a Wii. Paul spent all morning calling every store that might carry it within 50 miles of Madison. He finally tracked one down at a used electronics/game store. We aren't really pleased to have a used one, but there is a 30 day guarantee and he has decided to take the bullet and play non stop for a month to make sure nothing is wrong. What a trooper.

It is his Christmas present, but since we discussed it and he knows thats what he's getting, we decided that we'd try and find one early before they are all sold out around Christmas. Thanks to the marketing plan of upping demand Nintendo is doing, that almost didn't work. But he will also have it to keep him occupied while I am up north for Thanksgiving. I'm not hunting this year either, for various reasons. Like, 1) I would like to see Paul that weekend, 2) Wendy and Drew will be in town, and 3) I can put in overtime that weekend, since that will be the time when [livejournal.com profile] exarian's printer deadline will be closing in on us.

It remains to see if I will become a hardcore Wii player or not. I enjoy it, but I'm really not that good at video games, or at least at ones that you can't buttonmash at. And there is no buttonmashing on the Wii. Hopefully the new Supersmash Bros. will be fun. Maybe I can get into the Wii sports too.

Any flist people have good Wii games to suggest?

Leaving work early today (still after 8 hours) so we can make it up to the Dells for the March of Dimes dinner. Hope that will be fun.

The Halloween party Saturday night was fun. Paul spent most of the time playing GHII with the crew there. I only actually knew Angela and Kevin, the hosts. I think I might have met one or two before. Stayed late, got home at like 4ish.

Sunday I cleaned things and worked on the March of Dimes program, then laid back down with the boy. We ended up being a bit late getting him to work. I think his alarm got messed. I then went over to pick up Em and we went to go see Gone, Baby Gone. Which was your typical "Life sucks, no good deed goes unpunished" movie. Caasey Afleck was good, and his brother Ben should stick to directing, cause it was done well. We ate a the Irish pub up by her house that her dad has fallen in love with. Not impressed (sorry B). They didn't bring us enough bread to finish the appitizer, the martinis tasted like vodka, Em's pasta was still crunchy, and they didn't bring me a spoon with my stew. I'm thinking the bar food might be better. After that we watched Perfect Stranger staring Halley Barry and Bruce Willis at her house, which had a nice twist at the end.

Now working on two projects at the same time, still burning DVDs and doing crx on B's project. Think I'll be able to get some OT in this week too, which will be nice.

Mmmm, tired. But for good reason. And I have a really late volleyball match tonight, so I can work late. Last night I spent most of my time working on the program for the March of Dimes event I'm doing the graphic design for. I think it's next month, so that will be done then. After Paul got home we watched Transformers. I liked it. The dialog was well done, very funny. Things moved to fast to really get a good look at most of the robots, but from the previews I kinda expected that.

Work continues, nothing new or exciting. Not sure if I will try and go out on Halloween, will have to play it by ear.

Sister and brother-in-law are OK (they live in the Twin Cities). Tried to call her after I heard about the bridge colapse but couldn't ge though. Paul (the awesomest bf) figures that everyone was calling into the area to check on people, which makes sense.

I got the comps for the March of Dimes event done last night. Also had a "bitch about work" beer with [livejournal.com profile] exarian and dinner with Paul at his restaurant. The Duck confit was really good. After he finished work we went down to the Shamrock to continue to support the bar and cause it was 2-for-1 martini night. I helped Benjie teach a gay boy how to dance, apparently all of them don't come with that gene. Paul was kinda mock annoyed with it, I have no idea why though. As Benjie said (and he was so right), Paul had nothing to worry about as he was the hottest guy in the bar.

After the bar we stopped by Selective Video II to pick a few items for Paul's Leather & Lace outfit. I will post pictures next week.

In work earlyish today. Or in at a normal time instead of late. I'm helping [livejournal.com profile] exarian on her project, which isn't as complicated as some might think. But its work, and interesting, and requires thinking. And probably over time for the weekend, which is cool.

Yesterday was kinda rough, I threw my neck out of place some point the previous night, so was in varying degrees of pain all day. It started out just not being able to twist is a certain way, but by mid-afternoon I couldn't move my head at all. Went to the chiropractor in the aternoon, he put the bones in place but the muscels were still really tight and hurt. It affected my playing, I couldn't hit or serve. We lost all our games, if the team had been playing well we probably would have taken a few games. Afterwards the new team (KDB or Kill the Ball) ran some training drills. Mostly involveing chairs, shuffleing and passing to the setter. We played pick up as usual, but since we had the entire team there we set up a rotation where I was not playing in the back row at all. This ment that the games were pretty boring. I never had high energy, since I sat out for half the games and being weak side hitter I rarely got a set. But if thats how they want to run it, I'm OK with it. Was just bored, is all.

The Shamrock opened up finally last night, so we went and had a few drinks to support Glenn.

Still nothing to do at work for me. Picked up something on another project, I hope there will be enough to keep me busy today. Tonight I'm staying at home, cleaning and working on some design layouts for the March of DImes event I'm doing the brochures for.
