Weekend was good. Not much on Saturday, except for scoring a used mac book. It's old but runs fine except for a sticky disk drive. I've got it all running and the programs I need installed. Now I need to transfer over my data and resync the iphone--which means transferring the now PC data back to Mac world. I'm gonna be really good at this soon.

Sunday was full, full, full. We got up early to make the Associated Bank grill out and awards ceremony for their MVP ball park bankers, Paul being one of them. We got pictures of him with the racing sausages and on the big projection screen in the stadium. We watched some of the game and then left to beat traffic and cause we were on the shady side and forgot to bring long sleeve shirts.

Then I went and played 3 matches of volleyball. I used to start at 6 at the Willy Street Pub and play until bar time, now 3 matches and I can barely move. My normal team won 5 our of 6 games, but my other/coaching team lost all 6. They had to play one match without me since I was double booked. Not sure what to do with this coaching team. I need to figure out what they want of me and then how to do it. Might have to talk to a few other power players to get ideas.

After volleyball I rushed home and we met up with Jess and Club 5 for the softball drag show. It was awesome. We got to talk to friends we don't normally see. One of our good friends won overall (but mostly cause his parents were there and threw $20s). The guy from Paul and my team was great, he was a total diva and did a back flip in high heals--he got 3rd. The 2nd place guy had hurt his ankle this weekend at a softball tournament but still got dolled up and was carted around the stage in a wheel chair. And we got to see our very butch commissioner in a dress and high heals.

Tonight is Killer Bunnies with the girls. Between a mall shift and volleyball tomorrow night I need to pack for the trip to see Jack and get downtown again to see about getting some more RAM and a new disk drive for my new laptop.

I'm tired, but not hungover, so thats good.

Last night was the softball drag show. Seemed a bit lower key than last year, but it sounded like they raised a decent amount of money. It was nice to be out and see friends, but I don't want to do that every night. Em was tied up with the Indian visitors, so she didn't make it out to either Paul's hockey skills session or the drag show.

I did pick up season 3 of Supernatural and Paul got season 2 of Ugly Betty due to a financial windfall, so I can catch up on that show now. Apparently I _need_ to see this last weeks episode...

Might be painting more today, depends on if anything comes in. I'm expecting another pass in any day now.

Working the mall tonight, and will be every Monday for a while. Eric and Nate both want to join the Euchre tournament at the Shamrock, so I said I'd cover the evening shift.

Toni's party last night (she's a bartender at the Shamrock) was good fun. There were easily 200-250 people. It was very warm and muggy. But she gave away an iPod and a $100 gift card to the bar. She also had a kissing booth to raise money for her ACT ride. Various people from the community sat in it though the night, including the straight boy who plays on her softball team. He was drunk.

Ben Monty did an awesome drag performance of Brittany Spear's horrible dance number at that awards show a few months ago. The one where she wore nothing but a black bra and panties. He was just as jerky and slack jawed as she was. The whole crowd loved it and gave him many tips that went to Toni's ride. We stayed out later than I liked, and am thus tired today.

Still have to pack for this weekend, but did pull out some options and laid them on the bed so it should be easy to pack quick and then head to Chicago for Pride. Looking forward to seeing cousin Jim.

More drag pictures, this time with the ones from Paul's camera phone of me being painted. Took like 45 minutes. Much thanks to Lee for making me look good.

So, as requested, pictures of me from the drag show last Sunday. Paul took all of these and got some really good ones. He had pics of everyone also, but those won't mean much to my flist. There are a few more on his phone of the process of me being painted. I'll add those later and relink here.

Enjoy!

Lots of compliments on [livejournal.com profile] madidude07's boots and [livejournal.com profile] exarian's skirt.

The show went well. Everyone said I did a good job for my first time. A few of my friends didn't even recognze me. I didn't make enough money to move to the second round, so I only used one outfit. It's OK, I don't like that much makup on me anyway. Paul took a bunch of pictures, I'll get them up soon.

We left early becuase I had a horrible haedache and felt sick. I still feel that way, I don't feel like I slept at all last night. I don't know what is wrong. Life should be really good right now. But it's not. I am not sure how to fix it either.

So, tomorrow is the drag show at Club 5 for the softball league. I totally shaved my body (thanks to aunt carol and fade for advice) and bought a bra. The least you all can do is show up. *grin*

It's for a good cause and lots of fun. 9pm at Club five, Sunday night.

And so the great hair removal begins. One needs to be hairless when they do drag. And it's not like I'm one of the hairless types, too much viking blood in me, need to stay warm in the cold months, you know?

Going to start with a nice Nair covering then move onto razors. I bought a 12 pack of them, I think it will be enough. Mitch isn't sure if he will be able to be there anymore, so I'm not sure who will do my makeup. I really don't want to ask Sam or Tory, that might just be trouble. I might try to get Paul to do it for me. We'll see.

Volleyball went well last night. I wore the new ankle brace and my foot didn't hurt at all. It was a bit weird jumping/moving with it on at first, but I got used to it. We played against a team that we've played many times before and are at about our level. We had a few subs, and only won one game, but they were all hard fought and was a fun time.

I also have the last pieces of hardware (I hope) to finish my valence boxes. I should be able to do that this week, maybe Thursday.

I'm going to start with the annoying posting about this now, you've been warned. This Sunday at Club 5 at 8pm will be the annual Madison Gay Softball drag show. All proceeds go to the league and the contestants are all amatures.

I will be performing.

The only way to win is to make a lot of money. There are no points for style, dress, etc. It's a big popularity contest. Everyone will do one number, I think there are like 12 people. Then the five that brought in the most money will move onto the next round. So I have to have two numbers ready. I'd really like to do both of them, so everyone (yes, I mean you should buy a plane ticket and come, all of you--you can stay at my place) needs to show up and stuff $1s down my dress.

First off, today is my beautiful boyfriend's birthday. So Happy Birthday hun, I hope today goes well. We will be at the downtown Nitty Gritty at 9ish and then the Shamrock after that (say 11???). Anyone who wants to join is welcome.

Second, Sunday Septebmer 16th is the annual Madison Gay Softball drag show. It will start around 8 at Club 5. And I will be performing! I will be attired in [livejournal.com profile] exarian's clothing and will be super hot, I'm sure. it's a fun time, everyone should come out.

Third, On October 26th I will be hosting a birthday party for me at my house. Everyone is welcome, I'll have booze and food. Feel free to bring your own stuff too. Everyone needs to come and see the newly remodled living room, it'll finally be done by then. I'll repost this reminder a few more times.

Last night was the first match in the men's power league. We played better than many of us expected. We lost all three games, but they were prtty close. I twisted my ankle in the first game, and was slower than I'd like the rest of the night. It was pretty swollen all night, but looks better now. I'm not sure how hard I will play on Friday, or if at all. I didn't make many mistakes, but I really didn't get set much either. Which is fine since I'm on the weak side. Watching some of the other teams play I think we have a shot at not coming in last. One team had a guy who could jump 5-6 feet off the ground, or at least it seemed so. Pretty sure he played in college. That team will most likely win.

Anyway, I have work from another person's project, so off to be productive now. Hope my stuff comes in soon.
