May. 6th, 2008 09:03 amI really wish I had rode my bike today. It's warm and sunny out. Gas prices are too high and I'm still out of shape. But I didn't think about it till I was already on my way into work. I considered turning around, but used the excuse that I was running late and it might rain. But those are just bad excuses. Tonight I will get the bike out and make sure it is in good condition.
Softball last night was fun. Last year we didn't win a single game. This year the league mixed up the teams to make them much more even. We only had three returning players to Orange, but a lot of the new players were people I already knew. Some new faces. But my first up to bat I hit an infield home run! And I hit it over the head of a guy that most of the league considers a dick. My pitching was at about 50%, I hope to get that back up. We ended up winning 12-8. I think that was more runs than we got all last season. After we went up to the Shamrock for a few drinks and to socialize. Got to bed later than I'd have liked, but we had fun.
I hear there is work for me today, which is good. I have volleyball tonight, but Paul is going to watch Jess play softball in the lesbian league. He seems to enjoy his job (but has today off). He says its a lot of watching training videos and taking quizzes right now.
