radlilimSo the news I've been hinting about on twitter. I got a promotion at work.
When I first interviewed at Omnipress it was for the Site Manager position. He/she works with our clients on our papers/proceedings collection software. It's an online submission product where the presenters at our client's conferences upload their information and presentations before the conference so we can collect them for printed and digital proceedings bundles.
During the interview process it was decided by all (including me) that I might be better in the digital production area, which is where I've been working/training for the last 3 months. And then eBooks became part of my work too.
Well, two of the three site managers are leaving, and I was asked if I wanted to take one of the positions. It's a lot more customer service focused, which is a direction I want more experience with. So I took it and get to start training all over again. I'm a bit sad that I am not working on eBooks anymore, and that I really didn't get to work in digital production as long as I wanted. But the opportunity came up. Now I have to juggle my current projects until they are done, and learn a new job. It's gonna be busy again.
