May. 11th, 2010 09:14 amSoftball went well last night. Damn cold. We won again, like 17-4 or something like that. That was the score in the 6th inning at least. Paul did great, he hit the ball every time he was up to bat. And he seems to be getting better at playing 2nd base. My pitching was pretty good. The wind was horrible and the other pitcher, Sam, had a hell of a time throwing strikes. I think I did a bit better because I was able to judge the wind more. My hitting, however, sucked. I think I only hit 2 fir balls, one was caught. I only got on base once. I kept hitting foul balls all night, and in our league those are strikes. Need to focus more, maybe we have some batting cage coupons in our Bucky Book.
Work can be frustrating some days. I look at what I have to do and then look at the schedule and think "Oh, we are doing good, a head of schedule even." And then another project, that I have no knowledge of, gets behind and I loose the people helping me. So now my work force is cut in half (to just me) and I'm gonna be behind. No one's fault, just annoying. I'm sure we will make due, and if I get really behind, I can always poach someone from another project.
The new game is going well. I'm not sure what the plot is yet, really, but that's part of the fun. Meeting new people too, which is always nice. I've meet the bestest people online. Though I think I need to look for more icons. I'm using Mitch Hewer from BBC's Skins and the pics of him out on the web all seem to be mostly unclothed. And for some of these serious scenes, showing all that skin kinda ruins the mood, IMO.
I'm starting to pile up the art projects. Which is a good thing, as long as I keep on top of them. I enjoy making a little side money doing something I like. I've got a piece for Abbie in the works, I'm talking with a D&D blog to provide some art for some PDF adventures they are putting out, I'm going to throw some ideas into the mix for Scott Sigler's GFL logo contest for the next Rookie book, I've given my name to the Dunesteef podcast to provide episode art there... let's see, I've got a Supernatural Big Bang piece soon--the story just arrived, and I probably should think about making dad a father's day card soon. That might be all right now. And with all of that I need to update my website to showcase some of those pieces. Busy, busy, busy.
Cold and rainy again today, I'd like a few warm days again this spring.
