May. 13th, 2009 08:27 amWe got out to see Star Trek last night.
I really liked it.
Paul wasn't happy with how they messed with the time line (he liked it overall though), but I think that was shear genius! Now they can have as many movies they want without having to worry about messing with the previous movies or TV shows. Some marketing guy/gal is getting a raise.
The characters and casting was really well done. Kirk, Scotty, and Checkov were awesome. Spock and Sulu did a good job too, though I feel they weren't as true to the original characters. I'm wondering what they will do next. More movies? A new TV show? If the later I doubt they will be able to get those actors, which will be a let down.
I'll be buying it, I think.

It could still go bad though, so I don't want them to do too much. I would like to see them take their time, like they did with this one, and make sure it's solid before moving forward.
