Paul and I went with Jess and Lari to Samba last night. We all really enjoyed the experience. It had an amazing atmosphere, great service and lovely decor. The salad bar was really well stocked, had a lot on interesting items on it to try, and Lari (our vegetarian) enjoyed it. The rest of the meal consisted of servers bringing skewers of meat to every table and asking if the diners wanted any. There was duck, pork, chicken and many cuts and seasonings of beef. All very reasonably priced. Dessert, wine and cocktail options were all good also. We had a good time and will probably go back.
Paul ate too much, but was able to make it out for a night of drinking with Jess for her birthday.

Today I had a super late breakfast, because I had to wait till after my insurance physical. And now have way too much to do at work. Deadline still not doable, as far as I can figure. Oh well, we're getting as much done on time as we can.

I thought the deadline passed two days ago? Or was that just the, er, benchmark?

Oh, that was the deadline for the student edition, which I was working on. But when the original lead came back, she focused on that and I moved to the teacher's edition. It's first deadline is tomorrow, and I have half to 3/5 done. The second, and more important end of project deadline is in two weeks, which we won't make either.
