radlilimWell this is what boredom at work dose to me... I've decided to make the time to draw more. I'm going to try and get away from Illustrator "drawing" and back to pencil/pen on paper. I'm also going to shoot for the comic/manga style. I think when I draw I try to get too much detail in. I want to simplify my style a bit, thus I can get more done, and/or do comics. I often feel that a picture doesn't tell enough of a story for me, but a few panels might. I'm going to focus on Torchwood and mostly Ianto. So the first part will be character studies. I want to get a feel on how to draw him quickly and easily, and make it look like the same guy each time.
Going to start dragging a pad around with me too. Hopefully that will help.
We'll see if I can keep with this, who knows how many times I've considered getting back to art and then letting life take over again.
Be nice if I can get some yoga into this too... but let's not get too over ambitious.
I'd also like to try and use a wacom tablet, that way I don't have to scan so much, but that costs money, so not right now. Maybe work will lend me one.
