radlilim: (ST new era)
Productive weekend, though I wish I had taken a bit more time to relax. I don't think I very good at relaxing anymore, at least not while I'm at home and in town. Vacations I can do it, but if I'm at home the list of things that should be done keeps running though my head keeps me from vegging out. So I cleaned some of the house, took JP and a bunch of walks, mowed the lawn and sanded a few cabinet doors.

We didn't play very well the first match of the volleyball league tournament, and I feel I played crappy in particular. So we are in the loosing bracket now. Not a big deal, we've come up though it and won before. We just weren't playing as a team. I also subbed on Michael's team in the lower division for their games. So I got my fill of volleyball and sun. Face is red and I'm tired and headachey, which means I probably got too much sun.

Still on normal hours at work, no word on going back to overtime yet.

Paul starts classes today. Monday is his long day, with classes in the morning, and then work in the afternoon/evening.

I read Countdown this weekend, the 4 part comic that leads up to Star Trek Reboot (2009). It was good, had a lot of ST:tNG characters in it. For some reason I thought that the time that older Spock came from was well past that. It filled in a lot of holes, but if I'd read it before seeing the movie, a lot of the impact of the movie would have been lost. Still good, and I'm looking forward to the movie coming out on DVD this winter.
