Jun. 2nd, 2009 10:36 amIt just amazes me how hard it is to get a client to help us some times. I'm supposed to do a rush correction (i.e., we got it late yesterday, after 5, and I'm supposed to have it done by noon today--I'd think noon eastern time too). The project was done over a year ago, so I no longer have access to the files anymore. I've spent most of the morning talking to people at the client to get the files unarchived and available to me. It's like pulling teeth. No one over there wants to help me, and seems annoyed that I'm bothering them about this. And it's their request! Customers...
So far behind on the current project. So far behind.
I was put on first base last night at softball. I am apparently back to where I was when I first started playing softball, the guy that can be put anywhere. Which is fine and kind of an honor. Back when I started I was rotated around, put where needed as people we missing. Then I think 3rd year I started pitching. I'm fairly good at that, so stayed pitching for a few years. But now my team has two pitchers. Tammy is more consistent then me, but I'm a better and more active fielder, IMO. So she often pitches and I play all over. Two guys that are on our team, but have been unable to play until last night showed up, so I got moved out of short stop and put on first. Not my favorite position. I feel it'd be better if the first baseman was left handed, just for foot/glove positioning. I played OK, dropped two throws to me, not bad. Hit OK. We did win though, 8-4. First time this year. Winning isn't really important in this league, but it's nice to do.
