Aug. 31st, 2009 08:56 amI think my laptop is dead. It's been crashing quite a lot lately, and last night it crashed while I was using iTunes. This caused the iTunes library file to become corrupt, so even though I have my library backed up, I decided I might as well wipe the thing and reinstall everything. It's been a long time since I've done that so I figured it's time. Well, now it's crashing while installing the OS. I decided to upgrade to Leopard, since I've had the install disk for a bit but just never got around to doing it. My last trick will be to use the original install disk to wipe it, and then upgrade to Leopard, instead of using the Leopard disk to do it all. But I think it's a hard ware issue and my computer is junk.
At this point I doubt it's worth trying to get it fixed either. If anyone remembers when I dropped it off the couch and broke the screen hinges, you will also realize that the shelf hinges I have glued to it to keep the screen up also make it kinda hard to get inside it.
All of my music and files are backed up on my external, so I didn't loose anything, so I will just install all the iphone stuff onto Paul's desktop and sync it there. This will be the first time in 9 years I won't have a mac. :(
What a sad day.
So any time life wants to stop crapping in us, it can feel free to. I don't know whose puppy I kicked, but I can't imagine I've built up this much bad karma.
Oh, we took 2nd place in the volleyball tournament yesterday. Which isn't bad at all, since most of the season we were ranked in the bottom half. It was a long day of playing our way up though the loser's bracket, my legs and ankles hurt from playing on the sand for that long.
