radlilimWe didn't make the deadline, of course. But yesterday has got to be one of the worst and more stressful days of my life. To try and meet the deadeline they decided that giving me 10 people to help would do it. And they were all very helpful and did their best, but they didn't know any of the details of my project. So I spent my day answering questions, giving "updates" to managers and stressing about it. Honestly if I didn't like my CSR and wasn't a nice guy, I'd have quit. I'm not trained in managing that many people.
I was at work for over 14 hours. I'm just dead tired. And to top it off, JP decided to pee on the bed after he and I had gone and laid down. He didn't try to wake me up. He didn't go downstairs where Paul was still watching TV. He also didn't go pee the half hour we were outside before going to bed. You can tell the universe hates you when your dog gangs up on you too.
I think I will start looking for a new job. I never want to go though yesterday again. And while people tell me that was one of the worst projects ever, I'm sure others will be just as bad. If the company doesn't demand realistic deadlines and cooperation from our clients, they will get worse and worse.
Out of the 5 different grades on my project (we only have one of them), only 2 actually met the deadline. So we aren't alone in missing the deadline. And we will get it done today. And I will be taking some time off this week after its gone.
