Tempest looks like an awesome movie:

I'm not sure if I've read this one, I should look it up again.

This is awesome animation, a great/sad story, and a cool article.

"Sintel" is an independently produced short film, initiated by the Blender Foundation as a means to further improve and validate the free/open source 3D creation suite Blender. With initial funding provided by 1000s of donations via the internet community, it has again proven to be a viable development model for both open 3D technology as for independent animation film.

This 15 minute film has been realized in the studio of the Amsterdam Blender Institute, by an international team of artists and developers. In addition to that, several crucial technical and creative targets have been realized online, by developers and artists and teams all over the world.i

This movie looks fun! But I love Dan Byrd from Cougar Town, he's my favorite character in it. Plus Stanley Tucci (from The Devil Wears Prada) and Lisa Kudrow are awesome. I will have to see it.

This movie looks cool, a revamping of Romeo and Juliet as two rival frats, and the star crossed lovers are gay. http://www.veronathemovie.com/

I'll have to keep an eye on that one.

Also, Smurf's trailer:

Looks like we are done with the over night work for the week. I never even did any of it. I have the option of shifting my schedule back to days for the next two days if I want. I think I'll probably keep this one though.

Our anniversary weekend went well. The farmer's market was busy, but not too much so. We picked up some fresh veggies and fruit and generally had a nice morning. Then we went home to sleep, since I was still working on adjusting my schedule for this week at work. We both went into work for a bit later that day, to cover for shifts that we were asked nicely to do. Then we just hung out that night. It was our 3rd anniversary, and I'm still expecting many more years.

We slept for most of Sunday again, then Paul made us dinner, buffalo steaks, a delicious strawberry & sesame seed salad and fingerling potatoes. Then we had grilled strawberry short cake (it was really good too). We went to see Prince of Persia afterwards. We liked it. One or two small plot holes, and I was totally expecting more shiftless Jake, but good.

Monday I was woken by MG&E calling to say they were doing some work on our meter, but it wouldn't affect us, the puppy needing to go out and then a cop asking what happened to the traffic sign that is normally in our yard and was laying on the road (it had blown down the previous week due to the wind). So I didn't get much sleep. Then I had to go have a mini-physical for insurance. Softball was canceled due to the rain, so Jess and Lari, and Jess's brother came over and we played D&D.

Work has been boring/tired/slow. We haven't gotten any work in from the project that we are doing this overnight shift for. But we are keeping with it to keep everyone on the same schedule, in case we do get busy. It will not be fun switching back to days for this weekend when I go up to mom and dad's for Father's day and to see Jack/Laura. But I will deal.

All in all, a good 4 days off. I can't wait until I'm back to a normal schedule, though this way I do see Paul a lot more.

Also, congrats to Wendy and Drew on the birth of their girl. I can't wait to meet her.

We rented American Beauty and Best of Show last night. Both very good movies, which I hadn't seen yet. I stayed up until 5am, trying to adjust my sleep schedule for the night shifts the next two weeks. I ended up getting up at 9 to take JP out, since he was whining and I can't ignore that. Then I went back to sleep till about 1pm. We will try that again tonight.

Tonight Paul is gonna play some XBox and I will work on my father's day gift, do D&D stuff and start on a birthday card for Grandma.

Tomorrow morning we will hit the farmer's market, which I'm looking forward to. We haven't gotten there yet this year.

On Friday I finished Brave Man Run and podnovel by Matthew Wayne Selznick. It was good. Engaging story, enough twists to keep you interested. Believable characters, who also acted in character. It's a Wild Card/X-men/Heros type of story. Mutants/Superpeople come out who have been living among us. It's very much like the game I'm in right now, which is a cool tie in to my life.

Been a surprising busy day at the mall, these people just keep coming in and expecting me to help them. How can I watch Dr Who in an atmosphere like that?

I did watch a trailer for Violet Tendencies. It looks really cute and funny. I'll have to get a copy. Also Killers with Ashton and Heigel looks like it will at least have good eye candy, if not good dialogue.

Project at work is getting close to wrapping up. I'm expecting a) something to blow up tomorrow, one day form printer deadline and b) the next project to land on my desk, cause I don't ever get time to wrap one up before the next one arrives anymore, much less get a break between.
