I keep getting pulled into things at work that have absolutely nothing to do with my job. I don't mind this, really. It's very cool that people recognize that I'm smart on a lot of topics and am someone that can be relied on.

So on top of all of my normal work (including the system glitches/emails that caused the hell of yesterday) I'm working on getting the training materials set up for the new hire into my department. I also spent a decent amount of time helping work out the pricing details on a proposal for composition work. I'm not even in that department, but 'cause of my mad InDesign skills, my boss asked me. This lead to us deciding that this new, ongoing project will need a good proofread after we convert it from whatever custom system the book is in to InDesign. Since we don't _have_ proofreaders at work, we figure we should get a freelancer. Due to all my contacts at Lserwords and Apex, I was again asked to gather quotes from local freelancers. And that I've never done.

Come to think of it, we don't really need a local, it could be anywhere, the proofread is going to be digital. So if any LJ followers want to get a quote in for the work, email me, I'll give you the specs and you can give me a price.

After the mall today is a short shopping trip to Express (I need bigger pants--which is so depressing) and then D&D tonight. Oh, and I have to finish shoveling the sidewalks and driveway, we've had just enough cleared to function, but I don't think our mail person is happy.
