I just finished Reparations (HP/DM) by saras_girl.

Really cool story. I listened to the podiobook version. It's like Grey's Anatomy mets Harry Potter! So awesome. Good writing, except when things get... sexy? I guess. Those parts are kinda weak.

I want to play in a game like this now.

Mediwizards + drama = awesome.

You weren't in Wands and Order, were you? The game Jared and I ran?

No I wasn't, was it pretty much what I was talking about?

Yep, in some ways. It was about the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and its bureaucracy. We did have a mediwizard group along with magical coroners and the like. Jared and I talk about reviving it every once in a while.

I can tell you a LOT about that kind of game if that's what you're thinking of. ;)

Yeah, kinda but... not sure I have the kind of time, really. It's more I want to _play_ in it, you know? :)

Just one of those thoughts I had and if I sit on it long enough, maybe it will go away.

That game sounds cool too.

Oh, yeah, welcome to why I mod. No one makes the games I want.

There are good and bad about that kind of game. I actually did try to run a mediwizard game once and it just went nowhere. It probably could be done but at the time, I had no time to really shove at recruiting.

What'd I be most worried about is trying to capture the speed and pace I'd want in that type of game. In all of those medical dramas, they are always running around in a crazy rush, and I'm not sure one could do that very well in an online RPG.

If I do end up needing to run a game I think I'll do a D&D one. I'm in a few right now, and with the rules it's easier to keep the party moving. Modding a free form game like most of them are is kinda scary.

I need to get on working on my CoS plot/story line too. Sucks that I actually have work to do during the day now. :)
